A thousand years before the great city of Carcassonne was built, the area was settled by stone-age tribes. As with Carcassonne (Game of the year in Germany in 2001), the players lay down tiles to create a landscape in order to place their hunters and gatherers.

Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers is a separate and brand new game that retains the challenge, fun, and excitement of the original Carcassonne. Players who have played the original Carcassonne will pick up Hunters and gatherers quickly. Newcomers will learn it as quickly as players learned and loved the original.
